چکیده

Friction stir welding is an environmentally friendly process of joining due to the nonusage flux, or any shield gas, and it does not produce harmful gases when compared fusion. Therefore, this article proposes experimental investigation optimization technique for studying FSW on nylon 6A polycaprolactam polymer composite plates. Specifically, influence input operating parameters such as tool rotational speed (TRS), feed rate, pitch values output response like ultimate tensile strength (UTS) hardness welded joints examined. In addition, L27 orthogonal array Taguchi approach employed design experiments parameters. The setup carried out with various parameter combinations 500 rpm, 1000 1500 rpm TRS, 30 mm, 40 50 mm rate by varying 1 2 3 mm. Further, analysis variance (ANOVA) also finding significant using regression equations. Finally, microstructural used assess mixing dispersing uniformity composites effectively.

Friction Stir Welding Process Optimization: Experimental Methods

Introduction The Friction Stir Welding (FSW) process is an innovative technique to join metals in the plasticity field, thus not reaching the melting temperature and consequently the liquid state as it happen in traditional welding processes. This feature of the FSW proved an enhancement of the fatigue behaviour and strength of the joints, leading some companies to adopt the process for the man...

Welding Parameter Optimization of Alloy Material by Friction Stir Welding using Taguchi Approach

Friction stir welding is used as a solid state joining process for soft materials such as aluminium alloys and also for hard materials like steels. It avoids many of the common problems obtained in fusion welding. In mechanical, civil, automobile, naval, and aeronautical engineering beams are widely used of the magnesium alloys for different applications and that are joined by conventional iner...

Analysis and Comparison of Friction Stir Welding and Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding of Aluminum Alloy

Friction Stir Welding (FSW) is a solid-state joining process; i.e., no melting occurs. The welding process is promoted by the rotation and translation of an axis-symmetric non-consumable tool along the weld centerline. Thus, the FSW process is performed at much lower temperatures than conventional fusion welding, nevertheless it has some disadvantages. Laser Assisted Friction Stir Welding (LAFS...
